Copyright and Intellectual Property Notice
Last updated: 9 March 2026
1. Ownership of Choon materials
Choon, the phrase Never miss a choon, the Choon name, logo, brand presentation, interface design, layout, styling, platform copy, source code, databases, visual treatments, and other original material created for the Choon platform are owned by or licensed to Choon and are protected by copyright, trade mark, passing off, and other applicable intellectual property laws. Except where a specific right is granted in writing, no person may copy, reproduce, adapt, republish, extract, distribute, commercially exploit, or create derivative works from Choon materials in whole or in part. Any unauthorised use may constitute an infringement of legal rights and may also amount to misleading conduct if it suggests endorsement, affiliation, or sponsorship that does not exist.
2. Third-party materials on the platform
The Choon platform may display artist names, venue names, event titles, posters, gig artwork, gallery images, media embeds, logos, ticketing references, maps, social handles, descriptive text, and other third-party material for identification, discovery, promotional, referral, informational, moderation, or testing purposes. Unless expressly stated otherwise, all such third-party material remains the property of the relevant owner or licensor and is not claimed as property of Choon. Display of third-party content on the platform does not transfer any ownership rights, does not imply endorsement by Choon beyond ordinary platform presentation, and does not authorise reuse of that content by any other user or visitor.
3. Permitted platform use
Users may access and use Choon materials only to the extent reasonably necessary to browse the platform, create and manage accounts, discover gigs, review profiles, publish authorised event information, evaluate artists or venues, and otherwise use the service in the ordinary manner intended by Choon. No right is granted to systematically copy event data, reproduce profile content outside the platform, republish Choon layouts, imitate the interface, extract substantial portions of the database, or use the platform as a source dataset for a competing service without express written permission. Any use beyond ordinary platform access must be separately authorised by Choon or by the relevant third-party rights holder, depending on the material in question.
4. User warranties in respect of submitted content
By uploading or submitting any image, poster, biography, gallery item, event description, profile copy, media link, contact detail, or other material to Choon, you represent and warrant that you own the content or have obtained all rights, permissions, licences, approvals, and consents necessary for that material to be stored, displayed, reproduced, reformatted for technical presentation, and made available through the platform. You further warrant that the submitted material does not infringe the intellectual property, moral rights, privacy rights, publicity rights, contractual rights, or other legal rights of any person. Choon may remove any material at any time where it considers that the rights position is unclear, disputed, or potentially infringing.
5. Trade marks and brand references
Trade marks, logos, artist brands, venue brands, ticketing marks, social platform names, streaming service names, and other identifiers appearing on Choon may be registered or unregistered rights belonging to Choon or to third parties. Reference to such marks is made for descriptive and platform-operational purposes only unless a deeper commercial relationship is expressly stated. You must not use any Choon brand asset or any third-party brand appearing on the platform in a manner that suggests sponsorship, endorsement, affiliation, approval, partnership, or ownership unless you have the explicit written permission of the relevant rights holder. Nothing on the platform should be interpreted as granting an implied licence to use any trade mark or brand asset.
6. Notice and takedown
If you believe that material available through Choon infringes your copyright, trade mark, or another protected right, or if you believe that content is being used without permission, you may submit a notice requesting review. Any such notice should identify the allegedly infringing material with reasonable specificity, explain the nature of the rights claimed, provide details of the rights holder or authorised representative, and include sufficient contact information to permit further inquiry. Choon may request additional information before taking action and may remove, disable, or limit access to content on an interim or permanent basis while investigating the complaint. Choon may also notify the relevant account holder and provide an opportunity to respond where appropriate.
7. Repeat issues and account action
Choon reserves the right to suspend visibility of content, restrict account features, reject verification requests, remove profiles, cancel listings, or terminate accounts where it reasonably believes that an account has repeatedly submitted material without adequate rights, has ignored ownership complaints, or has otherwise used the platform in a manner inconsistent with intellectual property law or platform integrity. Choon may preserve relevant records in order to investigate repeat conduct, respond to complaints, or comply with legal obligations. Nothing in this notice obliges Choon to maintain content online while ownership or permission issues remain unresolved.
8. Reservation of rights
All rights not expressly granted in relation to the Choon platform and the material displayed on it are reserved by Choon or by the relevant third-party owner, as applicable. This notice is intended to clarify ownership and permitted use, but it does not limit any other rights or remedies available to Choon or to third-party rights holders under statute, common law, equity, contract, or otherwise. Users and visitors should assume that platform content is protected unless clearly stated otherwise and should obtain proper written permission before reproducing, redistributing, or exploiting any material appearing on the service.
