The Mojo Webb Band

Listen before you go

Brisbane’s Mojo Webb Band brings the heat the old-fashioned way, incendiary vocals, vintage valve tone and a stagecraft born of years in the trenches. Since forming in 1998, they’ve become fixtures on Australia’s festival circuit, packing rooms on the strength of Mojo Webb’s multi-instrumental fire, a killer band feel and songs that swing between gut bucket blues, soul and roots. Australian Blues Award accolades back up what crowds already know: this is the real thing. Their release, The Burden (2012) captures that grit and glow of trembling reverb, elastic groove and a voice that grabs you by the collar. Live, it’s sweat and smiles: tight pockets, raw dynamics and a band that knows exactly when to burn and when to let the space do the talking.
