The Mike Beale Band hits like a classic muscle car – blues torque, rock horsepower, soul in the chassis. From the Sunshine Coast to Brisbane and beyond, frontman Mike Beale has clocked decades onstage, channelling the late ’60s/early ’70s into something urgent and alive. With earlier projects like power trio Men in Blues delivering albums Drinking Overnight and Battered and Bruised (spun as far as Belgium’s Midnight Blues Radio), and collaborations with KNiKi across albums and soundtrack work, Beale rolled into 2019 with a new banner and the same high voltage intent. With a long history of entertaining Blues On Broadbeach audiences, expect big, soulful vocals, stinging guitars and a band that plays with both muscle and finesse.
