Dan Hannaford is a dust road troubadour from Byron Bay with gravel in his voice and gospel in his bones. Raised the son of a preacher in the Northern Rivers, he cut his teeth on church drums, found punk, then circled back to the roots – the blues, Americana, and outlaw country stories that feel sun bleached and true. Onstage he’s magnetic and unvarnished, opening Australian runs for Charlie Musselwhite, Donavon Frankenreiter, Ash Grunwald and The Black Sorrows and earning finalist nods across songwriting awards. His most recent album Rumblin' Wheel (2024) threads warm melodies through road worn narratives and a rock ’n’ roll edge. Festival favourite, campfire poet, bar room lifter – Hannaford makes music that rides easy and lands heavy.
