Sam Shepherd is a lifelong guitarist with accolades to match. Winner of the 2005 National Young Jazz/Blues Guitarist of the Year, Griffith University graduate, and Golden Guitar finalist for his co-written instrumental Optimystical. With appearances alongside Diesel and a run in Lee Ritenour’s Six String Theory finals, Shepherd’s refined, expressive playing shines across festival stages and his 2018 debut album. Based in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, he continues to tour widely, including the 2023 Acoustic Guitar Spectacular.
